Parent Volunteers

We welcome your ideas and participation! Wayland-Weston Rowing Association is an all-volunteer organization, and we need your help to make this team a success. It only works because of what you do, from organizing fundraisers to ordering uniforms to running the food tent on race day. There are so many different ways to help, and it is a fun way to meet other parents and learn more about your rower’s new passion. Thank you in advance.

Each family is required to join one of our standing committees:

• Finance (includes preparation of financial reports, budgets, taxes, general accounting duties, long-range planning of acquisitions)

• Development (includes general fundraising, fall ergathon event, spring fundraising event)

• Facilities (includes carpentry, electrical and other work around the boathouse)

• Volunteers (includes volunteer coordinator; food tent organization, storage, and operation; website; home regattas, esp WW Inv. Regatta; chaperones; buses to practice; lost and found; facilities and equipment; publicity; photography; yearbook submissions).

Food Tent: Each family is also needed to work at the food tent during one regatta. Watch for emails from our parent volunteer in charge of the food tent for details.
