Wayland-Weston team fought hard against the regions top competition at the Northeast Regional Championships May 17-18. The women’s varsity team showed their depth, qualifying the lightweight 4+ and the varsity 8+ for the National Championships in June. The lightweight 4+ came in third place in a hard fought race that separated first and fifth place by just 5 seconds. The varsity 8+ brought home the gold for Wayland-Weston with another tight finish separating 1st and 4th by 4 seconds. The women’s varsity team also competed in the lightweight 8+, 2nd varsity 8+, and the pair; all boats qualified for the grand final and exhibited some great racing.

The varsity boys qualified for the National Championships in the lightweight 4+. The four brought home the silver in a competitive field, separating first and third by 3 seconds.  See  Boys and Girls Article for more details  and video of girls 1V finish.
