It’s fair to say that the 2017 Wayland Weston Crew Cocktail Party & Auction was a huge success. In the end, generous supporters contributed approximately $35,000, making the even one of the three biggest WWRA fundraisers ever.
The success of the Spring Party ensures that WWRA can move forward with its fleet modernization program, which is ahead of schedule.
Highlights, starting with fun time spent with our Crew community as guests in the Dacey-Daniels home, were the Silent Auction, delicious food, lively Live Auction, a robust “Raise the Oar” fundraising activity, and the first-ever “Food Lovers Raffle.”
WWRA auctioned off the naming rights to three boats, with a boat naming ceremony planned for the Wayland-Weston Invitational Regatta on May 7.
